Genoa Bust Fund
93 people were brutally attacked and arrested in their sleep after the
demonstrations against the G8. This collection is on behalf of the five
British people and one New Zealander living in Britain. They were held for
four days in appalling conditions and then released without charge and a
ruling that their arrests were illegal. They were then deported from Italy.
These are their expenses:
- Fund to bring the police and whoever authorised their actions to justice
- Air fare home 230 each
- Phone bills of people helping them while in prison
- Retrieving luggage
- Money stolen by the police
